Just a Thought, Spiritual

There is No Darkness, Only Light

We are living in a dark time, the world as we knew it 6 months ago is gone, and it maybe for a long time.

We all have made plans for trips, weddings, our education – all that has changed.

For many its so dark that they cannot see the light.

With that said, I bring you good news!! – And these not my words, but the words our Savior who tells us –

“Whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”  John 12:46

Think of it – we shall not abide in darkness!  Why, because the Savior is the “Light of the World”

Please don’t worry yourself with all that is going on – you are in great hands!

Think how blessed we are:

  • We have a Prophet on the earth today… (I mean wow)
  • We have Apostles on the earth today –  ( can I hear an Amen)
  • We have the Priesthood of God on the earth today. (how much more can we be blessed)

They will guide us through this.

One of the many things I love about President Nelson is that he is not only the Prophet, but a medical doctor.  He understands both the Spiritual and the Science in this world.

He knows that that Lord has blessed many people to understand the mysteries of this earth.  Science is good –

President Nelson has said:

“There is no conflict between science and religion,” he said. “Conflict only arises from an incomplete knowledge of either science or religion, or both. … Whether truth comes from a scientific laboratory or by revelation from the Lord, it is compatible.”

All we must do, and I’m being simplistic, is to have Faith. Not a blind faith, but true faith.

Understanding that our God is here for us and will see us thru this.  We know that He is using President Nelson and the 12 to guide us – Listen to them.

President Ballard in April 2019 Conference said –

The best ways for us to see the spiritual purposes of the Church are to live the true, pure, and simple teachings of Christ and also to apply the Savior’s two great commandments: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart. … Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

When we love God – we keep his commandment – so we need to study all the Holy Scriptures

When we love others – we do so by serving and loving them – Regardless of who they are – what they believe –

When Jesus came to the new world – He blessed them and taught them the same things He taught the old world –

However, when He left, it was a much better world – we are told in 4 Nephi –

“There were no envyings, nor strifes, nor tumults, nor whoredoms, nor lying, nor murders, nor any manner of lasciviousness; and surely there could not be a happier people among all the people who had been created by the hand of God.

“There were no robbers, nor murderers, neither were there Lamanites, nor any manner of -ites; but they were in one, the children of Christ, and heirs to the kingdom of God.
