Can this country endure all the horror that its going through right now? Maybe…

It is so sad that this country, the United States of America is so divided at this time – there is so much actual hate and distrust. People don’t believe anything except what comes out of the mouths of their idols – Facts don’t seem to matter.

So, what is to happen?  We have 3 branches of Government – The Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Right now – the President of the USA is Donald Trump and he is claiming that the election was stolen from him and he causes discontent to the country – He’s using the power of the office to make accusations that he cannot prove – This is causing a great divide across the nation.

It seems that there are many that follow blindly President Trump, many in the Legislative branch are agreeing with him, still with no evidence.  It seems that they are scared of Trump’s base – they say the election was stolen but offer no proof.

Why are those in Government leadership supporting Trump?  I really have no idea – I just can’t comprehend why those in leadership are so consumed with the opinion of one man and his following when they are there to “Make the Laws of this Country” – And according to the Laws of this country Trump did not win the Electoral College Votes.

The Election was fair – and Joseph Biden is the President-Elect of the United States of America.  He deserves our support.

Here’s my answer…  Look to your God, to whoever you pray to, and listen to your prayers.  Are your prayers honest? Thoughtful? Full of Love? Looking for understanding? Or are your prayers to wish harm for others?

My prayers are for me to understand why others think what they believe, and how can I be a better person – I’m praying for comfort in this period of discontent.

In my prayers I remember what Jesus Christ told his followers when he was leaving them – “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful” John 14:27

Jesus also gave us a way to live:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way, they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The bottom line is that yes, this country will survive this, but we should not ever put our trust in man – but only in our God.
